About Us

South East Crete Holidays is a portal site, created to provide visitor information for those who wish to experience a quieter side of Crete that remains largely unaffected by mass tourism. We are based in Makrigialos, a small town on the south eastern coast of Crete. On this site you will be able to learn about the charms of this area - the scenery, facilities, weather, culture, and some of the history. We are not a travel agent, but if you are tempted by what you see, this site also provides a wealth of information to assist you in arranging a holiday here. We also offer, in association with maCreteland Tours (based in the Re/Max office here in Makrigialos), an online accommodation booking service. You do not need to login to view this site, but if you want to contribute, which you can do by signing the Guestbook (or, as a local tourist business, by advertising in the Directory) then you should register an account.
